təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Centre

The rain is back. We went out in it anyway. We were greeted by the local Ethiopian Church celebrating their New Year. It was so colourful and cherry despite the rain.
We roamed the streets randomly, un-motivated. We ended up checking out the new-ish təməsew̓txʷ New Westminster Aquatic Centre. It's very big. It's very busy (on a Sunday). It's very chaotic.
That's all I got. Except that -to me- it is poorly designed and an awkward misuse of the space wisely.
This resident was rather underwhelmed by the whole thing. But I took pictures in the rain just the same.

Close-up midway up.

Central, circular staircase to 2nd floor.

Same staircase from the 2nd floor.

Took him the whole red light to perch comfortably then flew away.

Love all the lines and angles.
