Still no roses and a wooden bridge

Coffee and cookies at what might be our new favourite Sunday morning spot. And baguettes to go on top of that.
It was an overcast morning with a slight chill in the air. But it didn't stop us from removing the dependable Sidekick's roof and getting some wonderful fresh air while we motored about.

Popped into the rose garden to see if any of the roses were in bloom. I suspect I missed them. He thinks they're not out yet. This will be determined by return visits to monitor their progress.

To get to the little coffee shop, we have to cross a short and sturdy wooden bridge. I fear its days are numbered as urban sprawl veers from it's path for no one. (shades of  Hong Kong's high density housing)

No Roses in the Rose Garden (yet?)

Out for a couple of quick coffees and muffins. Overhead the clouds and the sun were battling it out for dominance. I'd call it a draw and they both hung around for most of the day.

Picked up house plants at the W.I.G. store. I could have bought double what I did but I pat myself on the back for showing such self-control. The drawback was I completely forgot to get soil and more pots (for plants back at the apartment needing more leg room). Another visit next time we go out?

We, at his brilliant suggestion, popped in at the New Westminster Rose Garden (and gazebo).
I took a few pictures around the perimetre as there wasn't a rose in sight (yet?). Not sure if I missed them or I popped in too early. Another visit next time I'm out perhaps.

These are some of the pictures:

Coffee, muffins, cloudy skies and sheep

What a difference a week, a day makes! Last week, yesterday really, the new leaves were barely out. This week, today really, they've popped out and everything is just an explosion of green.

Today's meandering ride, after pitiful counter service at McDonald's, took us out to Surrey. The following are some of the varied sights.
