A moody morning at Boundary Bay

Headed out for an early morning drive on a ominous Sunday morning.

Boundary Bay is south of Vancouver near the US/CDA borders that is a popular bird watching area. It is a major stop for migrating birds along the "Pacific Flyway". The Nicomekl and Serpentine rivers flow into the Bay.

This regional park offers an easy, minimal incline, 5kms trail that takes about two hours to complete. It is accessible year round and is a dog (on-leash) park.

Heading home we made a detour to the Delta Heritage Air Park to take a look as the older 'retired' and not so retired aircraft.

Despite the intermittent rainfall it was an enjoyable Sunday morning drive.
