Soggy Sundays and a fish ladder

It rains a lot here on the west coast of Canada. So much so that the weather forecasting folks are using creative ways to tell us something we already know. The newest and ~ominous~ catch phrase is "ATMOSPHERIC RIVERS" Anyway, it's a typical winter with dodgy road conditions, deadly low temperatures, threats of mud slides, record-breaking river levels, flooding and whatever comes in the typical winter bundle.

The last couple of Sundays have been soggy.

Metrotown across the river.

Outside my living room window.

Outside my bedroom window.

T-pins busy blocking crochet squares.

Grows on the north side of the tree?

Calm reflections on this side of the dam.

Below the dam.

A 'fish ladder' on the left.

Magical moss.

Giving life.

Watch out for the pot holes.

Snow line

First Sunday drive of the new year. Coffee was hot and tasty. There was a real chill in the air and the snowline has settled further down the mountains.

Winter is here.
