This isn't a Sunday update but a Saturday outing worth documenting.
We went out for lunch at Me'N'Ed's, stopped for some produce and headed home. And this is what happened literally 4 metres from our parking spot.
Building manager in his big ol'truck reversed right into us. And not slowly either.
Glass everywhere. Driver's door concave and window glass shattered into a million pieces, like pellets that flew far enough to reach the passenger side. Wild.
An unforgettable birthday. No one was injured, except, well, the car.
The big-ass truck's back tail light had a triangle wedge of plastic knocked out. and the bumper was scraped?
Our whole driver's door is a write-off. Hoping there's a door that fits our beast in a wrecking yard or something, othewise . . . don't know right now.
Photos for posterity:
what's left of the side mirror
a glass pellet floor mat
the new concave door
I'd say it's a pretty colour but . . .
it went everywhere
