Spent a lovely Sunday morning with my two oldest and bestest friends today. 🙂
When we meet up we settle in at the local Sixth Street Grill restaurant for some giggly fun and yummy breakfasts or lunches.
As the clouds move in we went for an atmospheric drive through the sÉ™miq̓wəʔelÉ™ - Place of the Great Blue Heron [Riverview Hospital that opened in 1913] Grounds.
[Of note: The expansive (and labyrinthine) hospital grounds have been the back drop of many Hollywood productions like Deadpool 2, Elysium, Supernatural and Riverdale.]
Took a handful of pictures of some of the decaying building and some of the trees. [Shot in Sepia]
An eclectic collection of plant species from around the world - many relocated to the UBC Botanical Garden in 1916.
