The Mouth of the Salish Sea (Georgia Strait)

Sunday March 6th was another beautiful winter day. Not a snowflake in sight unless you look up at the North Shore mountains. Ski runs still covered in snow.
We made it out to Richmond as far as the point where the Fraser river feeds into the Salish Sea (known by some as Georgia Strait)
We drove by a private arrival/departure terminal at the airport for smaller airlines. The Coast Guard base - proudly displaying a decommissioned hovercraft. Drove through the lovely little Burkeville neighbourhood - where I'd move in a heartbeat! Drove by the huge 2010 Olympic Velodrome. Passed acres and acres of rich farmland. All against the beautiful backdrop of mountains, mountains and more mountains.

Wind blown gull.
Plenty of security everywhere at the airport.
Noise pollution is out of control.
The ultimate ambulance.
North shore mountains.
Grouse Mountain.
Cypress Ski Mountain to the right.

Bee hotels.
