What a gorgeous day for a meandering drive. A drive that ended out in Crescent Beach, Surrey at Blackie's spit.
A bit of history: A Scotsman by the name of Walter Blackie purchased 150 acres of Crescent Beach land for $50. He was the first European resident of the area, and was also New Westminster's first black smith.
We did most of our meandering through the Ocean Park neighbourhood after we stopped at the Spit and I found it hard not to fall in love with the area! I would relocate there in a blink it was *that* charming and beautiful and who wouldn't love living in a neighbourhood that runs along the water. *sigh*
And now, the random photos of the day.
