Sapperton Pump Station

Managed to sneak in another beautiful Sunday before fall brings on the rain. A beautiful day indeed.

It looks like New Westminster has erected a new park. A subued little beauty along the Brunette that runs behind the Sapperton Pump Station. A lovely, peacefully paved pathway that should have been choked with happy couples and new parents with prams, wobbly toddlers and happy dogs on leashes.

Nope - empty as a church on Monday morning.

I enjoyed the solitude but a little disappointed that more people weren't out there taking advantage of the incredible weather and the efforts made by the city/parks board....

Under the Pattullo Bridge

A stormy Sunday morning with breakfast and a short trip across the river.

Səw̓q̓ʷeqsən Trail

Located at the south end of the Alex Fraser Bridge there is a tiny .8km trail were over 8,000 years ago, the once main winter village of the Musqueam people stood. As the mouth of the river moved and the delta grew many of the Musqueam people moved with it. Today, the tiny loop trail sits in its place.
The secluded little hidden trail is a goldmind for local fishing enthuiasts in the area.

PVC(?) pipe anchored to 'look out point' for fishing poles.

What a spot to sit and fish!

Not sure what this fella is looking for.
