Houseboats and the Annacis Island Swing Bridge

Another Sunday breakfast at our favourite A&W. And then a quick trip around our usual route. On this trip - one that we've taken hundreds of times - I found and fell in love with my dream house in Queenboro!!! A floating home. Yes. A houseboat. I don't know what the draw was for me but my stomach just went 'zing!' when I saw this wooden, green roofed beauty!

If there's a lottery ticket with my name on it . . .

Ramp over the Fraser River.

A mysteriously secluded bay on the Fraser.

I . Am . In . Love !!!

Stunning! Just stunning! Even on a day like today.

You can have a boat equivalent of a 'carport'.

A beautiful end spot waiting for a new floating home to show up.

You and your neighbours have a private ramp and walkway.

Look at the roof deck on this beauty!

Look! There's another free spot for a new neighbour to move in!

A distant view of the floating homes, 'backyards'.

After dreaming about my dream home for a while, we went and had a look at the Annacis Island swing bridge that was built in 1986. It is a road/rail bridge over the Annacis Channel of the Fraser River.
