Unassuming Masquabeak Park

Sunday. Clouds, clouds and more clouds. It was a busy sky this morning overhead. I think the battle between the sun and the clouds is going last all day. I think the clouds will come out on top this time and bring rain late tonight or early tomorrow morning. Hey, the weather network can make predictions, so can I.

This week a ginormous tree-trimming truck parked below my apartment window for the neighbours I see out that window. I feared another 'big one' was coming down, but I was relieved to see they only had a couple of their trees and shrubs trimmed. IMHO, there are way too many 'urbanites' today that are 'just-chop-it-down' thinkers. But that didn't happen this time so there's that.....

We were early for the coffee shop this morning so we took a little drive around and found a rather understated park in one of Coquitlam's rabit warren of industrial parks just below the bridge. Masquabeak Park. Tucked in behind warehouses. A place people mostly go to launch their fishing and/or motor boats. To my delight, there wasn't a soul there this morning when we stopped and hopped out to take a few shots of the view.

Pictures.

The tree trimmers are here.
