Sunshine, temps in the low teens, a refreshing, spirit-lifting breeze blowing with just a hint of the ocean on it to have one inhaling like it would be the last breath they would take.
What an incredible and unexpected outing. A writer friend had errands to do and invited me along - but to take a slight detour for an hour or so before she got to it. What a detour! We ended up at Crescent Beach in South Surrey on Boundary Bay.
Mother Nature was wearing her finest today [A few shots included here: Juvenile Bald Eagles playing overhead. A curious crow checking out this photographer]
We turned left and followed an easy to walk path/trail along the shore at low tide.
The path took us by an assortment of dogs, envy-evoking charming shore-front homes and cottages, seagulls and herons and a steady flow of fellow fresh-air seekers.
I think one key to the enjoyment of today's visit to this popular attraction (aka the outdoors) is that we paid our visit on a weekday and not on a cheek-to-jowl weekend. [Our next visit, my writer friend says we'll turn right and check out Blackie Spit Park]

What are you looking at? |
And a view of the water. |
