It's been a while . . .

Got out for a short spin and enjoyed a coffee. Today we focused on landscaping in small and large scales.

The first pristine display simply bubbled along the front of the 'sales centre' of a local ginormous highrise project.
The second was locally famous -and previously visited- garden and fountain that pay homage to the fountains and gardens of Versailles. 
Clear blue skies and brilliant sun just added to the beauty of these man-made gems.

A tiny grove of trees and a national train station

After a few weeks of illness and a different Sunday obligation, we were back out looking for things to photograph this weekend.

Trees we stopped to walk through earlier in the week:

Central Pacific Via Rail & Amtrac Train Station (originally called False Creek Station): Designed by Pratt & Ross. Opened in November 1919.

Concrete Dunes

Sunday. Out for a drive as is our custom. Didn't venture far. Just 6 blocks or so away is Queen's Park

We visited the sportsplex and the Skatepark that looked like concrete dunes as we approached it.
On this sunny Sunday, the shadows were being thrown across its dips and peaks making for lovely shapes.

Some shots of that (and the now almost obligatory dog shot that I caught at an old coffee shop we used to go ages ago; Seasons Apple Cafe up on 10th avenue).
[I might suggest we go there again next week - I want to try their cinnamon buns] 😊
