We're calling it Quarry Rd

Sunday again. Dreary again. A drive and a coffee again. But there's something to be said for routine. 
They can still hold surprises especially when they're is not set in stone.

Found an incredible, winding, well maintained mining road in the Coquitlam/Port Coquitlam area.

I had no idea there was any mining being done so close to growing communities. We followed the meandering road as far as we could go then while retracing out route, we spontaneously, since it was so close, went and checked out a little bit of  Minnekhada Regional Park.
(not the greatest idea on a long-weekend Civic holiday)

We now have a new place to return to on a regular weekend drive.

A monochrome world

At this point in the year, there is an abscence of vibrant colour.

This is where I fall in love with the monochrome world around me.
