A section of the New Westminster Quay

Another gorgeous Sunday for an outing. And we didn't even leave our neighbourhood. We just drove down the hill and paid a long overdue (for me) visit to the New Westminster Quay district/neighbourhood.

Oh to live in a condo overlooking the river. One can dream. The one writing this could never afford one. But dreaming doesn't cost a dime. It's a marvelous little community(?). Some buildings have literal lagoons in the middle of them complete with ducks and in some cases (giant) koi. Others have spectacular fountains and/or cascading waterfalls(?). However, those fandangle ones are kept under lock and key - to keep the riff-raff like me from wandering through and taking pictures of the beauty they are not willing to share.

Anyway . . .

We covered only a portion of the boardwalk today - with plans of visiting a few more times to take in the different 'sections'.Which I think are; The Promanade, aka(?) the Scenic Boardwalk, The River Market, River Discovery Centre and down at the end (I think) Westminster Pier Park. The whole boardwalk is over 2 kms so we're breaking it up to stop a billion times to take pictures and rest at one of the multiple seating areas all along the walkway. Today's section pictures:
