Out 'n' About on a Sunny/Cloudy Saturday

Normally we hit the road on Sunday mornings - traffic is a little bit lighter. Saturday requires a lot more focus on all the vehicles around you. Got the opportunity to take a few shots down by the Fraser river over in Burnaby, stopped for coffee then came home. And stopped to take a  handful of shots of our building's "garden".

Here are some photos:

We had an extra little passenger along with us.
The tide is way, way out.

Moss.
Sun bathing on the Fraser River.
Companions.
For life.
A life time together.

Cacti Garden in New West

There is a local resident who I would call a cacti officionado. Their front yard is chock a block with hundreds of specimens. From tall columnar succulents down to little seedlings. It's a sight to behold. And it's bloody amazing!
And at the time of this post, they were having a sale.
Do I go back and clean out half their stock or show some constraint . . . ???
[There might be a follow-up post riddled with spiky, thorny close-ups of my new acquisitions...]

After ogling the cacti display, we drove around aimlessly, as we tend to most Sundays and I snapped away at random things through the windshield before we went for coffee.

Some cacti and a bunch of randomness.

Century Garden in Burnaby

Another sunny Sunday. Straight to today's destination. The Century Garden not too far from the Burnaby Village Museum.

Some photos.
After four re-upload attempts, Blogspot insists on uploading the images in reverse order. So...the end is at the beginning and the beginning is at the end. [we'll see if the next post has the same issues . . . ]
