A mall destined for demolition and clouds

Sunday. The weather was blah , . .  and then it wasn't. We went out to Brentwood Mall to take pictures.
Sadly the 1961 built shopping centre is being demolished in the name of progress.
Don't get me wrong, the new mega community going up in its place is going to be stunning.
I don't know who'll be able to afford to live there but your Average Joe is NOT their target market.
We went there to get some photos of the really neat interiors before they were gone. [I believe D Day is at the end of May, 2025]
I got about ten photos in when security stopped me and said - which makes absolutely NO SENSE to me - that I can shoot with a cell phone but NOT with my NIKON D90 (DSLR) camera.
What? Why? What's the difference. And the place was like an abandoned ghost town.
Anyway, at least I got a few shots so we left.
With that rudely cut short, we stopped and had a nice sit-and-chat at a local coffee shop instead, and I took pictures of clouds from the car on the way home.  Sunday.

It's been a while . . .

Got out for a short spin and enjoyed a coffee. Today we focused on landscaping in small and large scales.

The first pristine display simply bubbled along the front of the 'sales centre' of a local ginormous highrise project.
The second was locally famous -and previously visited- garden and fountain that pay homage to the fountains and gardens of Versailles.
Clear blue skies and brilliant sun just added to the beauty of these man-made gems.
